Accommodation
Accommodation for the 'Late Summer Photography Week'
2010 will be in
The Manor
House, an elegant building and one of the
most famous houses on the island, and which commands
wonderful views of Loggos harbour and the mountains on
the Greek mainland. The Manor House is just a couple of minutes walk
from the centre of Loggos and from the nearest beach.
Accommodation for the 'Late Summer Photography Week'
2011
will be in
villas
with private swimming pools about a 20
minute walk or a five minute drive above Loggos,
one of the three main villages on Paxos. It will
not be possible to confirm which villas we shall
be using until about eight weeks before the
start of the holiday but we shall be using
villas such as
Villa
Levanda,
Villa Thea,
Villa Maria and
Villa
Paradisos. We shall be
run all the villas that we use as one unit and all
participants will have the use of the facilities
at all villas.
Single supplements
Accommodation in a shared twin/double room is included in the price
and a limited number of twin/double rooms are available
for single occupancy upon payment of a supplement of
£125 per person per week.
Stephanos Apartment
Immediately adjacent to The Manor House are Spiros and
Stephanos Apartments. Spiros Apartment will be used by
the course leader but you may book Stephanos Apartment,
which has its own living room/kitchen and shower room,
and can sleep a third person on a sofa bed in the living
room,
for a supplement of £50 per week (for the apartment and
not per person). This is in addition to any other
supplement payable.
Allocation of rooms
We are not able to allocate rooms until we know the
final make-up of the group. It is therefore not
possible to book specific rooms, although you may make
special requests, which we will do our best to meet.
You may, however, state your preference for a
double or twin room if two people are booking
together. You may also state your preference for
an en suite room, should one be available, for which a supplement of £40
per week (for the room and not per person) will
be payable. This is in addition to any other
supplement payable.
We
will, as far as possible, allocate what we
consider to be the best rooms to early bookers
but we need to reserve twin rooms, rather
than doubles, for sharers, unless a double has
been specifically requested.

Meals
You will be provided
with a large breakfast hamper at the start of the week.
Transfers
Transfers between Corfu Airport and your accommodation
on Paxos are
not included
in the cost of the late Summer Photography Weeks
but can be arranged at
additional cost.
Any transfers
arranged will be by shared taxis
and the scheduled hydrofoil service, unless stated
otherwise on your Booking Confirmation and Confirmation
Invoice. If the hydrofoil service between Corfu and Paxos is suspended for any reason eg adverse weather
conditions, mechanical failure or industrial action, we
will do our best to arrange alternative transport for
you. Where we are able to do this, it will be subject to
the payment by you of any additional charges incurred by
us. If we are unable to arrange alternative transport,
then we will help you to find accommodation, which again
will be at additional cost to you. It is essential that
your insurance policy includes cover for delayed
departure, missed departure and missed connection.
We can also arrange transfers using the sea
taxi from Corfu
but these will incur an additional charge. Details of
all the transport services that operate between Corfu and Paxos are on the ‘Getting to
Paxos’ pages of this website.
Flight timings
The
cost of travel to and from Greece is not included and we
do not arrange this. We are however always willing to
provide advice about suitable flights. If you are travelling via Corfu,
you should choose a flight that lands by
13.00 at the latest in order to be sure of catching the afternoon
hydrofoil service to Paxos. If your flight lands later
than 13.00, then you may have to spend the first night
of your holiday on Corfu at your own expense.
On the return journey, the early morning hydrofoil from
Paxos will normally get you back to
Corfu in time to catch flights leaving after 11.00. If
you are at all concerned about getting back to Corfu in
time to catch your return flight to the UK, then you
might like to consider extending your holiday and
spending an additional night in Corfu town. We are
always happy to discuss the options with you.
Holiday insurance
It is a condition of booking our
holidays/courses/activities that you have comprehensive
travel insurance that includes cover for the
holidays/courses/activities in which you intend to
participate. The cost of insurance is not included in
the cost of the late Summer
Photography Weeks but we have arranged a policy which you
can
buy on-line
with Travel &
General Insurance Company plc. Before purchasing this,
you must ensure that it meets all your requirements.
If you have already taken out travel insurance, you will
need to check your policy to
ensure that it provides cover for all the holidays/courses/activities in which you will be participating.
If it does not, then you will need to contact your
insurer to arrange additional cover. For holidays to Paxos it is particularly important that your insurance
policy includes cover for delayed departure, missed
departure and missed connections, as
transport links with Corfu can sometimes be disrupted.
Minimum number of participants
All our holidays, courses and activities require a
minimum number of participants in order for them to
operate. The minimum number of participants required for
the late Summer
Photography Weeks to operate is 6.

To Book:
Please read our
Booking Conditions
and the
Important
Information section of this website,
and then complete and submit an

all ages and abilities aged 18 or over. However,
Paxos is a relatively hilly island and we
therefore do not feel that they are suitable for
anyone with walking difficulties.
