Why Paxos: Paxos is a beautiful island and, with its stunning scenery
and wonderfully clear light, it is hard to imagine a
more inspiring location for a painting holiday.
On the West coast there are dramatic cliffs, while on
the East coast there are pretty, unspoilt villages and
scenic bays. Much of the island is covered in olive
groves which are carpeted with wild flowers throughout
the year, from the first daffodils of January to the
cyclamen, crocuses and other wild flowers that reappear
with the first showers of Autumn. The colours are simply amazing.

Who are our painting holidays for:
Our painting holidays are suitable for artists working
in most media, whether they have previous experience or
are complete beginners,
and
aim to provide everyone with with a wonderful painting
holiday where they can enjoy sketching and painting
alongside other painters in an inspirational setting.

Painting holidays in 2013:
We are pleased to welcome
Helen Halliday, an experienced tutor
who currently leads painting holidays in Dorset, and has
also taught painting in India and on cruise ships,
to
lead an 'Autumn Painting
Week' between 30 September and 7 October 2013.
Painting Holidays in 2014: We hope to run a 'Spring
Painting Week' and an 'Autumn Painting Week' in 2014.
The 'Spring Painting Week' will be led by
Jenny Halstead
PS, who currently teaches drawing and painting
classes in France, Greece and Spain, and is a member of
the prestigious Pastel Society (UK), and the 'Autumn
Painting Week' will be led
by
Helen Halliday.
Where you stay:
Accommodation
is in
lovely villas, each with its own pool and spacious
terraces, set in the shade and tranquillity of the olive
groves about a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive above
the pretty village of Loggos, the smallest of the three
coastal villages on Paxos.
Time is also spent visiting
other parts of the island.

It is also possible for anyone who has their own
accommodation or who wishes to be more independent just
to join the group tuition sessions. And if you would
like to extend your holiday and spend a few
additional days on Paxos or a few days on Corfu,
either before or after the painting course,
then we can help you to arrange accommodation. Please
