LAKKA
Lakka is the second village of Paxos and boasts a
beautiful and very popular harbour for yachts visiting
the island. It is also a popular destination for people
who like a bit more nightlife than that available in
Loggos.

Lakka has a good range of facilities:
Beaches
- Lakka has a couple of lovely beaches, one with
watersports. Whilst other beaches on Paxos are shingle,
one in Lakka is actually sandy once you are in the sea
making it very popular for younger children. It also
shelves gradually and is therefore relatively safe.

Supermarkets and Other Shops
- There are a number of supermarkets in the village
which stock a good range of food and other everyday
items, and there is also a bakery, a number of craft and
clothes shops, a jeweller’s and a few tourist shops.
Tavernas, Bars and Kafenios - Lakka has a number
of tavernas, mostly Greek, but there are also some
Italian restaurants and others offering a fair selection
of different types of cuisine. There are a number of
bars and music bars that stay open until late for those
who want some nightlife.

Currency Exchange - Cash or travellers cheques can be exchanged
at one of the travel offices in the village. Most shops
and tavernas now take credit card payments.
Sports
- There are boats for hire from the harbour and
watersports are also available. Swimming, snorkelling
and fishing are also popular pastimes.
Churches
- There is an Orthodox church in the village.
