GETTING TO PAXOS
CAR
FERRIES
Several ferry operators run services from Corfu to Paxos
and there is a service on
most days. Car ferries leave from the New Port and go
via Igoumenitsa on the mainland, which means that they
take four to five hours.

Sailing times change frequently and, if you wish to travel
by ferry, you should always check with the port
authorities for
up-to-date information. You can do this by calling 0030 26613
65200 and, once connected, dialling 9 to speak to
someone who speaks English; if you call out of office
hours, then only the automated Greek timetable is
available. We have also found the ferry
information on the OpenSeas website at
www.openseas.gr
helpful.
Foot
passengers do not normally need to book in
advance and tickets can be obtained from the ticket office
near the main entrance to the New Port.

INTERNATIONAL CAR FERRIES

Car ferries for Corfu and Igoumenitsa on the Greek mainland leave
from Venice, Ancona, Bari and Brindisi several times a
week. The main operators are Superfast Ferries (www.superfast.com), Minoan Lines (www.minoan.gr),
Anek Lines (www.anek.gr/english/index.html), Ventouris Lines (www.ferries.gr/ventouris)
and Strintzis Lines (www.greekislands.gr/strintzis).
