SPECIAL INTEREST
HOLIDAY OPERATOR LAUNCHES DETAILS OF SUMMER 2011
PROGRAMME IN GREECE
Paxos Life Activities further increases its programme of
special interest holidays and courses on the unspoilt
Greek island of
Paxos for Summer 2011.
Special interest holiday operator Paxos Life Activities
has just launched details of its Summer 2011 programme
on the Greek island of Paxos and is encouraging early
booking for all holidays and courses.
Paxos is a really beautiful island which provides the
ideal environment for anyone interested in the creative
arts to tap into its peace and beauty and discover their
true potential. It is also the ideal holiday destination
for anyone wanting to take some time out of the rat race
and simply relax.
For Summer 2011 Paxos Life Activities is therefore
pleased to have expanded its programme of Painting,
Photography, Creative Writing and Yoga special interest
holidays.
The friendly and informal holidays, which are suitable
for all levels of ability, are based around group
tuition sessions on five mornings a week, leaving plenty
of time for individual advice, to explore Paxos or to
simply relax. So those taking part will get the best of
both worlds: the chance to have a holiday in an idyllic
location, while at the same time doing developing new
skills in an environment where there are few
distractions.
Accommodation is in shared villas with their own pools
and spacious terraces, such as Travel à la carte’s Villa
Paradisos or Villa Levanda, set in the shade and
tranquillity of the olive groves above the village of
Loggos, and in The Manor House (also included in Travel
à la carte’s Paxos programme), an imposing Venetian
building and one of the most famous houses on the
island, that has stunning views over Loggos harbour and
across to the mountains of mainland Greece. But Paxos
Life Activities recognises that some people may already
have their own accommodation on Paxos or simply wish to
be more independent and is therefore also offering the
option of just joining the group tuition sessions.
The holidays are not aimed at single travellers but
anyone travelling alone who wishes to spend their time
in the company of a group of like-minded people will be
perfectly at home. They are equally suited to couples
and larger groups.
The Summer 2011 programme begins at Easter with a
creative writing workshop, ‘Writing About Paxos’, which
is followed in May by ‘Yoga for Life’ (yoga combined
with life coaching, therapeutic art, meditation and
homeopathy), Painting, Photography, Feature Writing and
Writing for Children. Late Summer holidays include
Kundalini Yoga, Painting and Drawing Flowers,
Photography, Screenwriting and a further creative
writing workshop, ‘Unleash Your Writing Power’.
Throughout the season skippered charter of a
Sun Odyssey 52.2 and either skippered or bareboat
charter of a Bavaria 41 is also available. The Sun
Odyssey 52.2 is a spacious, comfortable yacht offering
real luxury and style for eight, and a typical one-week
charter might go from Corfu to Kefalonia stopping off at
Paxos, Lefkada and Ithaca. The Bavaria 41 is ideal for
smaller groups or for anyone wanting to enjoy sailing
for just a couple of days, while retaining the comfort
of their own villa.
